Electrical Cardioversion of Atrial Fibrillation

Cardio version is widely used in patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) when a rhythm control strategy is pursued. We sought to summarize the current evidence on the management of patients with AF, in particular electrical cardio version, taking into account the effectiveness criteria of the procedure, its various complications and the risk factors for recurrence.
