Malaria is a potentially fatal ailment that is caused bya Protozoa of the genus Plasmodium.Ofall the species of the parasites that affects humans Plasmodium falciparum is by far the most virulent. Others with less lethal strainsare Plasmodium ovule, Plasmodiummalariacea,Plasmodium berghei and Plasmodium vivax. Theycan exist as a latent Hypnozoites in the liver for months to years after initial infection. With the current increase in global warming, it has been predicted that endemic areas covered by the malaria vector anopheles will increase the species and cause a wider transmission of malaria parasites that are resistant to most conventionalantimalarial drugs
