In this paper, a new automobile ignition system is proposed to replace the traditional wired technology and enhance vehicle security. This new system uses wireless transmission to start the engine, thus eliminating the need for ignition wires behind the dashboard. Also, the user can set any password to protect the system. A theft alarm is built into the system that will "turn on" if any abnormal activity is sensed or if an attempt is made to unlock the system with a wrong password. Furthermore, important factors such as economic feasibility, adaptability to new vehicle technologies, and customer preferences are considered in the design of the proposed vehicle security system.
